Started the de-Google process. Here's what I've done so far:

>Firefox with uBlock Origin
>ProtonMail for email
>Signal for messaging
>Nextcloud for file sync
>LineageOS on my phone

The hardest part is Google Maps. OSMand is okay but the data isn't as good. Also YouTube alternatives are basically non-existent.

Anyone have good YouTube frontend recommendations?

NewPipe for mobile, Invidious instances for desktop. Works great.

You should try yt-local. It does what Invidious does except locally so you don't have to rely on an external server. It even has a setting that lets you route your traffic through Tor albeit that's very slow.

Google --> StartPage, Yandex
Chrome --> Librewolf, Brave, Firefox (for the sites that don't work with the previous 2)
YouTube --> Odysee, Rumble (though I won't blame you if you still mostly use YouTube)

It's hard, because creators are apparently loyal masochists and still mostly post on YouTube.
